The Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative (READI) 2.0 is a transformative program established under P.L. 201-2023 with a $500 million appropriation to empower communities across Indiana. By fostering regional collaboration, the program aims to stimulate economic growth, enhance quality of life, and attract new residents to the state.
SIHCDC’s Leadership in READI 2.0
The Southern Indiana Housing and Community Development Corporation (SIHCDC) is leading the South Central Indiana Talent Region’s READI 2.0 application and grant management. The Region was awarded $30 million in READI 2 funds. Partnering with Bartholomew, Jackson, and Jennings Counties, SIHCDC builds on the successes of READI 1.0, which also leveraged $30 million for projects and over $240 million in total investments.
